"I have been using The Quick Change Slides for about 2 months. Prior to using the QC Slides, i was using a slotted glide on my Prochem quad jet wand and a holed glide on my TI wand. I found these glides easy to use and was happy with them.
Since i purchased the QC Slide line up, I am constantly amazed at the difference in my cleaning results. Being winter here in Australia its good to keep getting feed back from customers about how much better the carpets seem and how much dryer they are. The biggest benefit of using QC Slides over glides is, you can swap and change them as you go or, if for some reason you want to do some work without any QC Slide you simply remove it and replace it at your next job.
On Flotex and Kitchen carpet or (commercial glued down in the states) i find the Super Twin Vac is in a class on its own. For general cleaning i find the Easy Slide Slotted the QC Slide of choice. The Agitator Slide Holed or Slotted is great for traffic areas and the Washboard is by itself on badly trashed out rentals etc. In my opinion, if your not using a QC Slide, your letting yourself down. You get even better results using QC Slides then other glides on the market and it is much easier on your body.
My recommendation would be if you have a Quad Jet Wand , get the QC Slides. If you don't have a Quad Jet wand, go out and buy one, Its a one off purchase and will last you your entire cleaning career and its tax deductable."

"Had the opportunity to try the QC Sliders. Pretty Impressive to say the least. They look good...they are easy to change....and they work.
Adding a Slider to my reconditioned wands adds a ton of value...how do I know? ...because the wands I used them on sold, and Im sure that just they way they look installed is what sold them. I look forward to buying more as my need arises, and I would advise any one looking into adding a "glide" to consider a QC Slider. I've also heard they are lawyer free and legal to sell."

"Well, had the full Slide set for a week and a bit now, used on all kinds of jobs inc. a large(ish) glue-down commercial poly job for the twin-vac and all I can say is... when are you gonna start making them for other wands so that everyone can start finding out what they're missing??
Man, between encapping and these Slides, it's made cleaning a helluvalot more fun and profitable! Nice one AL, hope you get the success you deserve for coming up with these little rippers!! So easy to fit, change and use, I am impressed!" |

"MickE was also right in mentioning the TwinVac Slider from Al @qcsliders.com. This guy (AL) is bordering on genius for getting off his butt and developing a range of slides for different carpet faces; one type of slide only just does not cut it, and until such time as MickE convinced me to try them out, I would not have thought they made that great a difference other than making wand usage easier. Take a look at this particular slide that's been developed with these low piles in mind and you'd notice the twin rows of quite small holes along it's face as well as the fact that they are all slightly angled...clever engineering, extremely well made and seems to make quite a difference to the end result over a naked or Glided wand.
Mind you, this is just an impression at the moment, stay tuned until after the 12/10/08 when I put all the different Sliders/Glides through their paces at the Advantage Group field day and get some more definitive data on dry times under controlled conditions!
Having said that, the TwinVac slider is by far and away seemingly the most efficient water removing device I've used in 20 years of CC'ing when it comes to low pile, direct stick carpets. It's not any easier on the body mind you, but holy crap, can it dry or what (subjectively speaking!) and not over-priced to boot, even my first ever job with this attachment a couple of months ago on a commercial low-level loop pile Polyprop resulted in one very awed customer who had never seen his carpet look so good or feel so dry, and I was the 6th carpet cleaner through the place in 4 years! Also left me horribly impressed with my own bad self and made me feel like I'd just purchased the latest and greatest truckmount instead of my ol' faithful Prochem Performer! Honestly felt like I was on max speed with a bigger blower on 5 metres of hose instead of the 45 I'd laid out to do the job! |
